After working in the hospitality and wedding industry for many years, and fuelled by a passion for celebrations and an eye for detail, Kirsteen MacKay established Kirsteen’s Kollection with the goal of creating events that leave a lasting impression.
From Hospitality to Happily Ever After
After gaining experience in various countries and hospitality settings Kirsteen found her place in Inverness as the Wedding Coordinator at the esteemed Loch Ness Country House Hotel.
In this position she found her love for bringing couples dream weddings to life. During this period, she not only boosted the hotel’s appeal for weddings, but also built close bonds with brides and grooms along with vendors to nurture lasting relationships with each of them over time.
The Spark That Started Kirsteen’s Kollection
When Kirsteen was involved in planning weddings she noticed a growing demand for high quality wedding decorations that could totally transform venues. Fortunately, she came across an opportunity to purchase decor pieces from a supplier who was closing their business down.
With the purchase of a few centrepieces and chair ribbons, Kirsteen’s Kollection came into existence.
Growing into a Trusted Name in Event Styling
After a modest start, the business soon picked up speed with bookings at Loch Ness Country House Hotel and other locations as well. News quickly spread around the Highlands of Kirsteen’s attention to detail and innovative design concepts, along with her knack for customising designs to suit each couples’ individual tastes and preferences. Her collection expanded in response to the growing demand from her range of clients.
Kirsteen’s Kollection has become a trusted source for event decorations and styling services. Catering for a variety of occasions such as weddings filled with elegance and romance to important milestones like birthdays and baby showers along with corporate events – all are meticulously styled by Kirsteen’s Kollection to add beauty to every celebration.
